#MomAndDaughter

Summertime is the time for different activities especially for kids. I enrolled my daughter on the Learn to Swim Program of Philippine Red Cross.

This was a 5- day workshop for beginners, advanced and intermediate swimmers. Adults can enroll too. There are different pool areas to choose from under the Red cross lists of venues. We chose La Piscine bed and breakfast at Obrero, inside Palm village, because it is the most convenient for us.

My daughter always looks forward to her summer activities. I am happy that she gets to enjoy and learn at the same time.

She meets new people, create new friends along the way too. And most likely, she never forgets the experiences and at end of the day she always tells me that she's having fun. A mom's got to do what a mom's got to do to make her child happy.

  Graduation day!

She's not scared to swim on the 5 feet level anymore! Thanks to these young coaches for the patience! We got another milestone, and for sure we will both enjoy swimming from here on.

The learn to Swim Program of Philippine Red Cross is always available during summertime. Great for kids who just finished the school year. Kids also need time to have fun. Registration starts as early as April. We paid 1,000 pesos for the 5 day program. You can go ahead and enroll at the Philippine Red Cross office located beside the Marco Polo Hotel, along C.M Recto street, and Roxas Davao city. Entrance fees and pool fees depends on the are and pool rates, and are excluded on the registration. We only paid 140 pesos everyday so that would be a total of 700 pesos for 5 days for the entrance of my daughter, guardian included.

Hi guys! I just wanna share with you my first photo walk experience. This happened last October 6,2018. Our starting point was San Pedro, ending at Barrio Bistro at Sta. Ana Ave in which after we had snacks with the big bunch! I was a newbie at taking photos but was ready when I saw these people gathering.

Here are some sample pictures I took. With the help of new found friends from the group. I appreciated my camera more. Not a pro at taking photographs but I appreciate simple and small things that makes me happy along the way. Picture paints a thousand words as they say. It's a different picture when you look at it at the camera, and it gives meaning to others too.

The main theme of this photowalk is taking pictures on the streets. You can play a lot with your camera and even use cellphones and shoot. I always remember what sir Migs always say to us #Shootwhatmovesyou, and it's not about the camera but the picture itself that gives a story.

My colleagues Clang and Carlo invited me to join this group. I  have so many pictures inside my phone which consists of my daughter's day-to-day activities, her funny faces and even our selfies. Since she was a baby I always wanted to document her growing up. I recently bought my Fujifilm X-A3 for a purpose. #instagramMom hehehe Recording memories without having to delete some because of full storage. lol You can never choose 1 picture to upload anyways. 😂

My muse. My love. My daughter.

You can never go wrong with a camera on hand. lol. By the way, I got a nice package with it consisting of a free 16GB SD card, 1 original battery, camera strap, the kit lens and hood inside the box. I added cash so I could have the camera leather case with strap, gorilla pod, lens cap keeper. What a bundle!

more sample pictures. not bad for a newbie?lol.

Selfie with these birds!

Here was the list of the top 10 that our walk leader sir Migs chose for the contest. I was soooo happy mine was included. I could not believe my eyes and myself. lol.

Here's my photowalk entry. Got in to Top 3 guys!!! It was unexpected indeed.

To more memories and photowalks with you my little one. 💗

Having a gradeschooler means more school projects and more lessons to discuss. I'm glad that I get to see my child's growth at home and school. I just attended their Career day and was having a proud mom moment. 😂

Hi everyone! As a fresh start in this blogging journey, I will post things I enjoy being a mom to my 4 year old daughter and our adventures together and with our family. I have been blessed by a very inquisitive daughter. As a working mom, I make sure to have lots of time for her. She always surprise me with new things. I can say that this is how happy it feels to be a mom. Answering my daughters random questions even if its about aliens. Watching her favorite movie/cartoons 100x til we both memorize the songs. I realize that it's not just my daughter that grows and learn but also me as a Mom.
Being a young mom at this time around surely is not everybody's wishing. I gave birth turning 20, had a job enough to buy things and pay the bills, treat my family from time to time. My boyfriend now husband was working abroad. I used to have plans for myself on how to be successful in my career, how to make my dream goals come true, and what a 20ish girl would think of (clothes, food, travel). I imagine and ask myself "Am I really prepared to be a mom?". It all fell in to place. I purely know nothing about motherhood and I still want my Mama to take care of me. I thank the people around me and especially God, because who knows? I would have been in a mental facility by now! Kidding aside, we are not perfect humans. We make mistakes and learn from it in order to grow.

As we face our life's journey, let's just focus on living the life positively. There may be ups and downs but never a problem unresolved. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to have this little family. I know now in my heart and mind that I need to treasure these times. People may come and go but family is for life.

Adventures does not always mean going out of town or elsewhere. It can be simple gatherings with you and your family. I may not always post on this blog but I keep the memories as pictures. Pictures when my daughter said her first words, her first walk, her first bicycle ride, etc. It's the things that makes me happy as a Mom.

To more adventures!
